TAKE 10!® Teacher Toolbox

Teacher training is available from ILSI RF/CHP staff to assist teachers in learning more about the program, implementation strategies and tips for maximum effectiveness. These instructional sessions, designed to be stand-alone or integrated into scheduled teacher in-service training, use interactive techniques to explain the rationale for TAKE 10!® and to allow participants to design and participate in their own TAKE 10!® session.

TAKE 10!® Teacher Training Objectives

As a result of participation in the TAKE 10!® Teacher Training, an individual should have a better understanding of and increased knowledge in:
1. The TAKE 10!® program materials and concepts.
2. How to implement and/or design a TAKE 10!® Activity.
3. The Brain-based Learning model.
4. The importance of curriculum integration in the classroom
5. Physical inactivity levels and obesity-related health risks in children.
